Affordable Colleges in Virginia
Affordable Colleges Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing free higher education tools for current and future college students and their families, recently published research on all the Not-For-Profit universities and colleges in Virginia that offer online college programs. Historically, online programs have only been offered by for-profit institutions. Today, many of the most established not-for-profit state colleges and national universities have launched programs that provide flexibility and lower tuition prices for students. This dataset is unique to our site and is even ahead of the curve compared to other government education data sources such as NCES and IPEDS.

The Online College Database provides future post-secondary students with the information they need (at no cost) to make informed decisions about where to attend college.
This database is an easy-to-digest guide to all the 114 colleges in Virginia, including the 70 four-year colleges and the 44 two-year schools. Important factors such as tuition, enrollment size, campus setting, male / female ratio, student-to-faculty ratio, ROTC availability and acceptance rate have been included for each college. Our data comes exclusively from U.S. federal government databases such as the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). This information, combined with our easy-to-use interface with Google Maps integration, creates a helpful educational resource that students can use free of charge.
